Drones have entered into civil society and in Spain its first major international event is Expodrónica 2015. Being held today and tomorrow in Zaragoza intended primarily to be the premier professional drone event.
For two days, this emerging sector, which can triple its market in five years, presents its latest innovations and serves as a forum for developing legislation in Spain, which “clearly lags behind” the latest developments and the regulation of several European countries.
Some of the seventy-one exhibitors from countries like the US, China, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium and Spain, have appealed for legislators to step forward to reach the height of the French and British, who are those with more advanced legislation.
The fair, which will be staged annually, has a very professional and technical profile, with the presence, among others, of several world leaders in the manufacture of drones: DJI Games, Yneec, Parrot and Novadrone.
Drones are already applied in Spain in cartography, agriculture, monitoring of emissions, planning and urban planning, inspection of infrastructure or the audiovisual industry, but its scope may be extended further.
