The project “SVAA, Monitoring System for Air Support for Law Enforcement” received on Thursday, 14 December, a positive Resolution to the request for assistance submitted to the call for MINECO, RETOS COLABORACION 2016, co-financed by the European Union.
RETOS COLABORACION is a call framed in the State Program of Research, Development and Innovation oriented to the Challenges of the Society, within the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016.
The project is being developed by NOVADRONE, TTI and CELESTIA, technological companies in the field of drones and artificial vision and will have the participation of research institutions University of Seville and Andalusian Institute of Technology.
The purpose of the project is to develop a surveillance system for air support for surveillance and control operations by law enforcement and security forces. It is an aerial system of great load capacity and with uninterrupted power from a mobile unit at ground level. The system increases the operational capacity, while minimizing the risks for security forces agents, allowing to extend the observation perimeter and its capacity of effectiveness in all types of events, especially in which there are concentrations of people.
